Open Source VoIP

Open source is becoming more mainstream

We know of two major open source products. The first Asterisk, is based on the Linux platform. The other is a Windows based open source product called 3CX. Both are available as free downloads and more refined license ($) package upgrades. There are 3rd parties who offer turnkey systems based on the open source platform. Generally this type of system is far less expensive then buying a proprietary platform system. Open source can also be found running full service enterprie voice platforms and as part of an overall Telephoney strategy.
